My Classroom Experience

Throughout this year I have to say that I
had lots of fun. First of all, I learned many
things about the numerous functions on
the computer and programs, like Photoshop
and SharePoint. I also enhanced my typing
skills incredably, from very slow last year to
moderatly faster by the end of this one. Secondly
I really enjoyed all of the projects, even though at
first they would seem very hard or extensive, especially
the Web pages.
Another enjoyable thing from this class were the countless
good times of playing online videogames, I must say
that this is virtually the first time in which I could
play around in class. Finally it all comes down to
one thing: this was quite an enjoyable year and keep
going at it Mrs. Aragon, I hope you enjoy your next
classes as much as this one!

My Web design video

For my video project I decided to do it on
skiing. Why? Well, when we first started
I began using the sample pictures which
most of which were snowy mountains,
and ice. So with that I thought,"Why
not make it on skiing?" And so I started
off with that and for some time it looked
good, but then I noticed that it wasn't long
enough so I searched up a ski video of a
guy who was skiing, and let me just say that
he wasn't too good.
After I had all of the pictures and footage I
set off to work by placing them in the appropriate
frame and then adding the effects like that one that
made it look like an old film and the slide transitions.
Finally I added the titles and it came out pretty good,
in my opinion.

School Rules

Well, I think that the school rules have their
reasons to be there. For example, that one
about electronic devises has both is pros and
cons. First of all, with it students can't be tempted
to cheat by texting eachother in class to get
answers, and also aren't distracted too much,
increasing the likelyness that student will pay
attention in class. That's mostly the main
objective for this rule, I think, to avoid distractions.
But as everything has its ups, this rule also has its
downs. Putting the case, let's say you have and
emergency and need to call home, the office might
provide their phone, which is easy for one person,
but if everyone in school lacks a phone they will all
need it, creating quite a stir-up if more than five
people need to use it immediatly. So, I guess, what
you should do is carry your stuff but don't get caught.

What my life will be like in 20-30 years from now

Well, first things first, the first thing that comes
to my mind is that during that time period Jehovah
will bring forth his judgement day to rid the earth
of all the sinful people who don't seek forgiveness.
How can I say this with such certainty? Well, the
very Bible gives us these comfort-giving promises,
for example, the one written in Psalms 37:10,11 ,
"And just a little while longer, and the wicked
one will be no more; And you will certainly
give attention to his place, and he will not be.
But the meek ones themselves will possess

the earth, And they will indeed find their
exquisite delight in the abundance of peace."
Here we are told the very promise giving us hope
that soon, very soon now, all of the wicked ones,
including Satan, will be destroyed and we will
finally feel total happiness in these new peaceful
conditions. But, by now you are probably asking
yourself, "How soon is this "soon"?" Well one thing
that the Bible tells us that no one but Jehovah knows
the exact time when this day will come. But the
Bible does tell us what would be the signs of the
conclusion of the system of things as said in Matthew
24:7,8 ,"For nation will rise against nation and kingdom
against kingdom, and there will be food shortages
and earthquakes in one place after another. All
these things are a beginning of pangs of distress."
As you can see, these are the very things that we
see nowadays so it is only a matter of time before
the wicked ones are cut from existence. We have
complete faith that Jehovah God will keep his word
because we are given the very fact that Jehovah
cannot lie in Titus 1:2. So through these 20 to 30
or even if we have to wait more years I will keep in
expectation for that day for like we are promised
in Habakkuk 2:3 ,"For [the] vision is yet for the
appointed time, and it keeps panting on to the
end, and it will not tell a lie. Even if it should delay,
keep in expectation of it; for it will without fail
come true. It will not be late." That's right,
even if that day would delay, it won't come late.

School Grading System

Well, I think that the actual grading system
has its flaws and gaps. Why? I think it would
be better for all of the students if they could
pass each grade level according to their overall
grade thoughout the year. This is good because
many students tend to get really nervous when
they know that a test is coming, therefore due
to that nervousness they run the risk of failing
it and going blank.
Of course as everything else, this also has its cons.
Some students aren't so good with classwork while
others struggle year-round to get a decent grade
average, without mentioning that some tend to
lose their work frequently, resulting in an even
lower grade. So as you can see, this grading system
has its pros and cons and its flaws giving proof that
for now, until Jehovah God's perfect rule that will
restore perfection to mankind that is fearful of him,
all humans are imperfect and therefore cannot
make perfect guidelines.

My Crazyest Dream

Well, I rarely dream, or if I do I can't remember
what the dream was, but one I do remember was
a time in which my family and I were happily
dining with some Brothers from our congregation.
You see, I have the big desire to invite some Brothers
over to our house to eat something and in the process
have a little laugh or two, but you see, where I live is
way too small to be able to invite them over especially
because our Brothers and Sisters, our friends, have
large families, so they wouldn't all be able to eat
comfortably. So I guess that the reason for me dreaming
these things is mainly because of that reason, the desire
to invite them over, but the inability to do so. And
with something like that in your head then there's
no wonder that I would also dream on it.
You know dreams occur with something happening in the
brain which stimulates you to dream, right? Well,
this very fact is another way in which our very
body praises Jehovah God. How? Well, in the past King
David wrote Psalms 139:14 were he praised Jehovah
by saying,"I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring
way I am wonderfully made.Your works are
wonderful,As my soul is very well aware." And by
contemplating the very work of Jehovah by looking at
ourselves and seeing our unbelievable functionality
we can make echo to King David's words by being
thankful to this generous gift, which also includes
our wondrous brain.

Spring Break

During Spring Break I did many things. One of
them was that Brother De Leon invited me to
go, along with other Brothers, to help remodel
another Kingdom Hall, which is one of the many
places in which we, as Jehovah's Witnesses, worship
Jehovah God. Since Brother De Leon has a carpeting
business, he has been put in charge to recarpet
different Kindom Halls throughout this area, so
on Saturday March 21 we went to carpet the Kingdom
Hall. It was a hard job, but finally when we finished
it ended up looking great. Besides, my favorite part
was that I got to socialize with all our Brothers and
also that I was further trained in the art of carpeting.
Another thing that I did during our week off was,
along with my mom and our Brothers and Sisters
of our congregation, take part in preaching the Word
of Jehovah God and all of his promises. What was really
fun was that we were able to start early in the morning,
from about 7:20, to about 12:00. Of course, my favorite
part, as always, was that not only was I worshiping Jehovah,
but also the partnership in working alongside my Brothers
and Sisters.

The solution to all the global problems

As we now see everyday in the newspaper and
television, problems around have increased
dramatically. One of them, though, that might
affect us the most is what is happening in Juarez.
Why? Most likely because Juarez is just passing
the border. Now, with this fact rises a question,
"Should we do anything to help our "neighbor"?"
You know, as imperfect humans, we can't really
do anything to fix this, or any other global situation.
Why? In the very Bible, we are explained the
reason for this. In Jeremiah 10:23, it is written,
"I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his
way does not belong. It does not belong to man who
is walking even to direct his step." Here we are told
that mankind who is away from Jehovah's guidance
cannot direct, or guide, his own decisions, or steps, to
success, then with even more reason they can't
guide that of others. Now, this doesn't mean that
we are doomed to withstand all the suffering and pain
that we see everyday. Why? Well, very soon Jehovah
will bring forth his Kingdom, which will fill with everlasting
blessings everyone who loves him. Right about now
you are probably saying to yourself,"Well this sound
really wonderful, but what exactly does this "soon" mean,
how long do we have to wait for this "soon" to come?
You know, you are not the first one to ask this very question.
In Bible times, when Jesus Christ talked to everyone about
the Kingdom of God, which will bring an end to wickedness
and make the earth a paradise, people also wanted to know
when this Kingdom would come. Even his disciples asked
him,"What will be the sign of your presence and
of the conclusion of the system of things?” In reply to that
question, Jesus told them that only Jehovah God knew
exactly when the end of this system of things would come.
(Matthew 24:36) But he did foretell things that would take
place on earth just before the Kingdom would bring true peace
and security to mankind. In Matthew 24:7 he stated two
things that would, and are, occurring in the short time before
the Kingdom comes, he said,"Nation will rise against
nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there
will be food shortages." To support this statement, a British
historian wrote: "The 20th century was the most murderous
in recorded history... It was a century of almost unbroken
war, with few and brief periods without organised armed
conflict somewhere." Also, even though researchers say
that food production has increased greatly during the past 30
years, food shortages still continue because people do
not have the money tobuy it or land on which to grow it.
Aside from identifying certain world developements, the
Bible foretold that the last days would be marked by a change
in human society. The apostle Paul described what
people would be like during this period in 2 Timothy 3:1-5,
he wrote," But know this, that in the last days critical
times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be
lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming,
haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful,
disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to
any agreement, slanderers, without self-control,
fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong,
puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather
than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion
but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."
You can probably agree that nowdays we see people act
like this, like in Juarez, it takes someone with no natural
affection and fierce to kill so many innocent people.
Okay, so now, using the Bible, I have told you all the
bad things that we would see during the last days, but
believe it or not the Bible also foretells the positive
developements that will come among the worshipers of
Jehovah. For example, what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24:14,
"And this good news of the kingdom will be preached
in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations;
and then the end will come." Throughout the earth the
good news of the Kingdom- what the Kingdom is, what it
will do, and how we can recieve its blessings- is being
preached in over 230 lands and in more than 400 languages.
And you know, the most wonderfull of all of those blessings
is the one recorded in Revelation 21:4,5, "And he will wipe
out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more,
neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.
The former things have passed away.” And the One
seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making
all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these
words are faithful and true.” As you can see, Jehovah
God is the only one who can really do something to
rid mankind of all suffering. Finally, something that
we can look up to is that all of his promises are faithful
and true, for he will truly keep his promises, because,
"upon the basis of a hope of the everlasting life which
God, who cannot lie, promised before times long lasting,"
(Titus 1:2).That's right, we can look up to Jehovah keeping his
promises because he cannot lie.

My Favorite Subject

Surprisingly enough, my favorite subject this
year is Math. I say this because a few years
ago, when I was in the 4th grade, I couldn't
stand it, it was just too hard to understand.
But, nowdays I kind of enjoy it, since I understand
it most of the time. You know, Math and all the
other subjects there are couldn't have come
to exist without a marvelous organ, the brain.
To this, we can all thank the infinite knowledge
and power of Jehovah God, for he is the one
who created us, our whole body including the
brain. Besides from that he also gave us the
wisdom and mentality to reason and remember
different patterns of numbers and sequences.
With this gift of reasoning, we can enjoy the
thrills and challenges of mathematics all because
of the excellent gift the Jehovah has given us, and
everyone can for sure say, "I am marvellously made."

My Favorite President

Personally, I don't have a favorite president. Why
don't I have one? To me, all presidents are just like
any average guy who, even if it's for the best, his
promises won't come true or if they do, they never last.
Why can I say this with such confidence? Well, the very
Bible, in Jeremiah 10:23 says," I well know, O Jehovah,
that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not
belong to man who is walking even to direct his step." In this
text, we are told that to man, that is away from the guidance
of Jehovah, his way does not belong, meaning that if they can't
guide themselves, then you can't expect them to guide or rule
others, even less to keep their promises.
The one person who I do want to talk about is Jehovah God. He
is the only one who can solve all the problems ,that mankind,
or the presidents say that they will fix, for good. One thing that brings
lots of hope is that he not only has the power to get rid of
the problems that bring pain to mankind, but he also has the desire to
do it. In Revelation 21:4, we are given a glimps of what he will do,
"And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death
will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be
anymore. The former things have passed away." Can you imagine
it? A world were death, our greatest enemy, will be no more, and
suffering and pain will vanish! Soon Jehovah God will bring
this new order and you will see for yourself that the only person
who can really bring order is the one and only, Jehovah God.

My Favorite Music

I am personally not familiar with Chopin's
pieces, but I do like this one that I've just
heard. Pretty much the only reason that I
like this piece is that, like all piano music and
classical music, it is very soothing, almost
therapeutical.

"Regrettable" behaviors of "famous" people

Well, my opinion about Michael Phelps getting
caught doing drugs is no big deal. The real problem
is that people, as always, tend to tag any "famous"
person as their role model. How do I know this? It's
very simple, if it had been any other everyday guy
doing drugs no one would have cared. People who
do this are not following what is said to us in
Psalms 146:3 ," Do not put your trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs."
As we are told here, we mustn't put our trust in "nobles",
or in this case "famous" or renown people, because
they usually will let you down in some way, in this case
doing drugs in secret.
Now that I mention the fact of doing things in secret,
Hebrews 4:13 comes to my mind, it says,"And there is not
a creation that is not manifest to his sight, but all things
are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom
we have an accounting." This text gives us the certainty
that no one, no matter how carefully they hide an act, can
hide anything from Jehovah God. Something that is also
really interesting, is the fact that when people hide something
is because even they know that what they are doing is wrong.
So a word of advise that we can get from this is that since
we can't hide anything from Jehovah God, then we must
simply follow his sacred norms to be of his liking.

If I could live anywhere in the world

You know, I don't mind living in any
particular place right now. Why? Well, no
matter where you live in this world you can't
escape all the problems that you see. As stated
in the Bible, in 1 John 5:19 it is said," We know
we originate with God, but the whole world
is lying in the [power of the] wicked one. As we
can see here, the whole world is in control of Satan
the Devil, so anywhere we go we will find his influence.
But, what does this influence do to people? Well,
it makes them exhibit all of the qualities of Satan.
In union with the fact that we are in the "last days"
as said in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it is said how," men will
be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming,
haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection,
not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control,
fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong,
puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than
lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but
proving false to its power". As you can see, these qualities
are the ones that are produced by Satan's influence in
people.
With that in mind you might be asking yourself,"Okay, so
no matter where we live we are doomed to suffer from
these things?" No. Very soon now, thanks to the sacrifice
of Jesus Christ, Satan and his followers, plus all of the
sorrowful conditions will be destroyed forever. How can
one be sure that this wonderful promise is true and not
just a mere fantasy? In 2 Peter 3:13 it says,"But there are
new heavens and and a new earth that we are awaiting
according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to
dwell." Here, these new heavens and earth are the restored
global paradise in which we will not only be freed from
Satan's influence but also from death and we will finally
live in the true place where we want to live, not temporarly,
but for all eternity. One thing, though, that we have to do to
aquire these blessings is what is said to us in John 17:3," This
means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the
only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.
Here is where I want to live.

The meaning of “freedom”

To many people, freedom means the absence
of something or someone who caused them
oppression. Throughout history people have
felt short periods of that freedom when an
oppressor,a dictator,a harsh government,
or leader, falls, but that's all they are, short
periods, because they never last. Why? Well,
they feel "free" for one or two years, and
BAM!! Someone comes and takes that feeling
away. By now you may be asking yourself,"Why
does this happen, why can't the freedom and
peace that people bring last?" Well, in Jeremiah 10:23
you are given the answer, "I well know, O Jehovah,
that to earthling man his way does not belong.
It does not belong to man who is walking even to
direct his step." As you can see, man who is away
from Jehovah can't direct his own steps because
they don't belong, or correspond to him, so his
successes to gain freedom, or anything else, are
bound to never last.
Does this mean that man is doomed to never be free
of problems such as sickness, death, and suffering
caused by imperfection? No. As you know,
to exempt us of Adam and Eve's disobedience that lead
to sin, Jehovah immediately made arrangements to
send his son, Jesus, to give his perfect life so that "everyone
exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but
have everlasting life", as said in John 3:16.
As you can see, thanks to Jesus Christ's sacrifice,
we are able to do what is said in John 17:3," This means
everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the
only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus
Christ." In order to obtain everlasting life, thanks
to Jehovah's new kingdom, and be freed at last
from the clutches of death, sickness, and suffering one
must learn the Bible truths that reveal to one the
characteristics and purposes of Jehovah and his son,
Jesus Christ. By doing this we will experience what true
freedom is, as said in 2 Peter 3:13," But there are new heavens
and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise,
and in these righteousness is to dwell." That's right, Jehovah
will restore Paradise throughout the world and we will
finally and permanently be free.

My future Career

I'm not really sure about what I want to
do in the future. Why? Well... the thing is
that I like cooking, but that requires extra
studying in college, which I am trying to
avoid. So my resolution is to cook, but only
as a hobby. I would also like to study archetecture,
because I could use that to help in the construction
of Kingdom Halls for the worship of Jehovah God.
This career appealed to me because one of my
friends, Martin De Leon, invited me to go with
him to help finish building a Kingdom Hall in Roswell,
New Mexico, and the experience there was awsome,
I really enjoyed it, not only because I was helping, but
also because all around me there were my Brothers
and Sisters who like me worship the one and only God,
Jehova. To my disappointment, thought, the career in
archetecture and everything that has to do with the
furnishing and construction of buildings and homes
require at least, if I remember correctly, two years in
college, so that plan is out.
By now you may be asking yourself,"Why are you
avoiding the idea to attend college and achieve your
dreams?" Well, as a Jehovah's Witness I take my labor
of proclaiming Jehova's purpose for mankind very
seriously, so I don't want college to take away time that
I could properly utilize for this labor. Now don't take me
wrong, the fact that I don't want to attend college doesn't
mean that Jehovah's Witnesses are against superior education,
this is just my personal decision. One thing that for
sure I am going to do after I graduate, or if possible
even sooner, is that I am going to become a full-time
pioneer, which is a title given to someone who is planning
to serve every month at least 70 hours in the ministy
proclaiming Jehovah's purpose and characteristics, to
say the least, to the people of our locality. Now don't think
that by doing this you are going to be awarded with money
or anything like that, the main reason for doing this is
that we make Jehovah happy because we willingly taking part
in what is asked of us in Matthew 24:14 "And this good news of
the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth
for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. As
you can see the career that is the most important to me is
proclaiming Jehovah God's purpose.
